WHO WHO WHO... est une installation vidéo qui explore l’identité et la sensation d’exister à travers l’action répétée de souffler et la rotation d’images numériques. L’œuvre montre l’artiste soufflant à plusieurs reprises. Le souffle, qui apparaît puis disparaît en quelques instants, constitue l’un des gestes les plus immédiats du corps tout en évoquant une trace de présence impossible à retenir.

Quatre écrans à hélices LED tournent à grande vitesse et produisent l’impression d’images suspendues dans l’espace, sans les limites visibles d’un écran conventionnel. Ces images se forment grâce à la rotation continue des dispositifs, faisant se superposer l’image du corps qui souffle et le mouvement mécanique qui la rend visible. Cette répétition peut évoquer les habitudes du quotidien, la répétition du travail et les formes d’aliénation qui peuvent en découler.

Le titre « Who » renvoie à la question « qui ? », tout en évoquant phonétiquement « hoo », un son associé au fait de souffler. À mesure que la question et le geste se répètent, l’identité apparaît moins comme une réponse fixe que comme quelque chose qui doit sans cesse être reconnu et interrogé. L’œuvre interroge la manière dont nous nous reconnaissons dans ces gestes et ces images répétés : qui est présent au cœur de cette répétition ?

WHO WHO WHO... is a video installation that explores identity and the sensation of presence through the repeated act of blowing air and the rotation of digital images. The work shows the artist repeatedly blowing air. Breath appears and disappears within moments, becoming one of the body’s most immediate actions while also evoking a trace of presence that cannot be held.

Four LED fan displays rotate at high speed, creating the impression of images suspended in space without the visible boundary of a conventional screen. These images are formed through the continuous rotation of the displays, bringing together the image of the body blowing air and the mechanical movement that makes it visible. This repetition may evoke everyday routines, repetitive labor, and the sense of alienation that can accompany them.

The title “Who” functions as a question of identity while also phonetically echoing “hoo”, a sound associated with blowing air. As both the question and the gesture are repeated, identity appears less as a fixed answer than as something continually recognized and questioned. The work asks how we recognize ourselves in these repeated gestures and images: who is present within that repetition?

WHO WHO WHO... 는 숨을 불어내는 반복적인 행위와 회전하는 디지털 이미지를 통해 정체성과 존재의 감각을 탐구하는 영상 설치 작업이다. 작품에는 작가가 반복해서 숨을 불어내는 모습이 나타난다. 잠시 발생했다 사라지는 숨은 가장 직접적인 신체의 행위인 동시에, 존재를 드러내면서도 붙잡아둘 수 없는 흔적을 떠올리게 한다.

네 개의 LED 팬 디스플레이는 빠르게 회전하며 화면의 경계 없이 이미지가 공중에 떠 있는 듯한 시각적 효과를 만들어낸다. 이 이미지는 LED 팬의 지속적인 회전 속에서 형성되며, 숨을 불어내는 신체의 이미지와 그것을 드러내는 기계의 움직임이 한 공간 안에서 겹쳐진다. 신체의 반복과 기계의 반복은 일상의 습관과 노동의 반복, 그리고 그 안에서 경험하는 소외를 떠올리게 한다.

제목의 **“Who”**는 ‘누구인가?’라는 정체성의 질문인 동시에, 숨을 불어낼 때의 **“hoo”**라는 소리를 연상시킨다. 질문과 행위가 되풀이될수록 정체성은 하나의 고정된 답이라기보다 계속해서 확인되고 흔들리는 상태로 나타난다. WHO WHO WHO... 는 반복되는 행위와 이미지 속에서 우리가 자신을 어떻게 인식하며, 그 안에 ‘누가’ 존재하는지를 묻는다.
